Griffin Hughes is a graduate from the International Professional School of Bodywork in La Jolla, California, where she earned her certificate in Integrative Bodywork and Somatic Psychology. After graduation Griffin worked as a clinical massage therapist and a bodywork technician at Gaia Day Spa in La Jolla. In 2006 Griffin moved back to the island and worked at Vineyard Complementary Medicine in West Tisbury as a Massage Therapist and Physical Therapy Aide. Griffin is also Certified Personal Trainer and enjoys bringing her fitness flare and commitment to health to the Boathouse Club.
Caitlin Cook started her training in the Pilates Method in 1988 at the SUNY Purchase Dance Department. In 1994 she was certified by Madeline Black in San Francisco. In 1996 she moved to New York City where she has worked primarily at acclaimed studios ie: AB and Body Tonic. In 2002 she created a certification program at Body Tonic with owner Jennifer DeLuca. She is a professional dancer and choreographer.
Robert Sidoti was certified as a personal trainer through National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in 2002, where he began helping clients improve their athletic performance through strength training and functional fitness techniques. In 2008 Robert was certified by Swami Sitaramananda at the Sivananda Vendanta Centre in the "Yoga for Athletic Peak Performance" Program. Robert has continued his Hatha Yoga studies to complete the 200 RYT certification with Kira Ryder, founder of Lulubandhas and the Ojai Yoga Crib in his hometown of Ojai, California. Growing up outdoors in Southern California made Robert an avid athlete/outdoors man since childhood.
Melissa Aldeborgh has over 20 years of fitness industry, and holds a personal training certification with American Sports & Fitness Association. In addition, she is certified in multiple group fitness forums, ICSA Kickboxing, and Les Mills programs. Melissa enjoys helping her clients to keep a balanced and active lifestyle by keeping them challenged and motivated them to surpass their mental and physical boundaries.
Bennett Coffey yogic journey began six years ago when she walked into her first yoga class. She has been practicing diligently ever since, in places like Charleston SC, Hawaii, California, NYC, Washington D.C. and here on Martha’s Vineyard. In her classes, she encourages her students to respect and listen to the wisdom of their bodies moving through the poses slowly so that the tension we build up each day can be released.
Sian Williams is originally from Manchester, England and moved to Martha's Vineyard in 1988. Sian began her yoga teacher training certification with renowned teacher, Shiva Rea, and completed in the Fall of 2008, certified by Yoga Alliance as a 200 hour RYT. Sian has been teaching yoga to kids ranging in age from 5 to 14 years old. She created Pandavine, Yoga for kids program, which has become a popular fixture on the Island.
Sandra Stone danced with the Paul Taylor dance Company in New York before moving to the Vineyard. She a co- director of Rise Vineyard Performing Arts and co artistic director of The Yard in Chilmark. She is very inspired by the Zumba craze and is very excited to bring this class to the Boathouse.
