Fitness Classes Summer 2009

INTERVAL CORE:  This class will get your heart rate pumping with short intervals of jumping rope, and will work your core with longer intervals of exercises using the stability ball and Bosu trainer. Balance, alignment, and stretching will be integral components of this intense session.

YOGA:  This class is appropriate for all levels. Class emphasis is on alignment, breath and flowing movements. The poses will strengthen and lengthen your muscles, stabilize your joints, and ease physical tension. You will leave with less chatter in your head and more spirit in your step. This is a non-competitive class that is safe, challenging, and restorative. Expect great music with a slow, steady groove.

CORE:  This class will strengthen the muscles of your trunk utilizing the stability ball, the Bosu, body weight, and light dumbbells. Exercises are safe, effective, and very challenging. Set to music with a funky bass line and a good groove, this class is done barefoot and mixes exercises with s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-s to create a balanced, hard core workout.

ROC-IT CIRCUIT TRAINING:  This innovative strength training equipment delivers a more natural, unrestricted, functional movement. The unique movement of the machines causes less impact on the joints and provides proper alignment for the user so a maximum exercise benefit will be enjoyed. The guided circuit will work every major muscle group in 30 minutes and will begin with an instructional overview of how to use the equipment.
