Boathouse Foundation

The Boathouse Foundation is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization funded by the generosity of our members and owners. The Foundation gives annual contributions to non- profit organizations on Martha’s Vineyard. Each year The Boathouse Foundation disbursed $25,000 to the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard and $15,000 to the Martha’s Vineyard Boys and Girls Club. In addition, The Boathouse Foundation proudly issued $10,000 in the form of scholarship pledges to two graduating Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School students who are pursuing degrees in the hospitality industry. In addition, we were able to assist many other island non-profits including the following:

Boathouse Foundation donates $25,000 to YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard

For the seventh consecutive year, the Boathouse Foundation, a philanthropic unit of the Boathouse Club of Edgartown, presented a check for $25,000 to the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard.

According to a press release, the Boathouse Club established the Boathouse Foundation with the goal of providing financial grants to nonprofits on Martha’s Vineyard. The foundation is funded by the generosity of the club’s members and owners via an annual contribution. “We are delighted to be able to support the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard, and have committed to making an annual $25,000 donation to the organization,” said Scott Anderson, general manager of the Boathouse.

Continuing to serve more than 25 percent of our year-round population, the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard has the highest community-participation rate of any YMCA in the country. Support from the Boathouse Foundation enables the Y to continue to offer programs and services that help adults and youth receive the support, guidance, and resources needed to achieve better health and well-being.

The check was presented  on behalf of the club’s members, employees, and owners  by  Lancelot Webb, clubhouse manager.

Boys and Girls Club receives $15,000 from the Boathouse Foundation

The Martha’s Vineyard Boys and Girls Club accepted a $15,000 donation Friday from the Boathouse Foundation in a ceremony attended by club members.  The Boathouse, a private club in Edgartown, funded the donation. The annual gift provides scholarships and support for the club’s summer camp program.

Boathouse Foundation donates $25,000 to YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard

For the third consecutive year, The Boathouse Foundation, a philanthropic unit of The Boathouse Club of Edgartown, presented a check for $25,000 to the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard.

On Wednesday, March 6, Boathouse general manager Scott Anderson and club manager Sydney Mullen presented the check to the Y on behalf of the club’s members, employees, and owners.

The Boathouse Club established the Boathouse Foundation, Inc, with the goal of providing financial grants to nonprofit organizations on Martha’s Vineyard. The Foundation is funded by the generosity of the Club’s members and owners via an annual contribution, according to a press release.

“We are delighted to be able to support the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard and have committed to making an annual $25,000 donation to the organization,” Mr. Anderson said.

Boathouse Foundation donates $15,000 to Boys and Girls Club

The Boathouse Foundation, a charitable organization funded by members and owners of the Boathouse private club in Edgartown, has donated $15,000 to the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club.

The contribution supports the Boys & Girls Club’s Summer Club program, allowing children who participate in the free and reduced school lunch program to receive subsidized tuition rates to the summer program.

Boathouse clubhouse manager Lancelot Webb visited the organization recently to deliver the donation in person.

Boathouse Foundation donates $25,000 to YMCA

The Boathouse Foundation, a philanthropic unit of The Boathouse Club of Edgartown, presented a check for $25,000 to the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard on January 13th. Club general manager Scott Anderson and club manager Sydney Mullen presented the check on behalf of the Club’s members, employees, and owners to YMCA executive director Jill Robie.

“We are delighted to be able to support the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard and have committed to making an annual $25,000 donation to the organization,” Mr. Anderson said.

It was the second consecutive year the Boathouse Foundation donated to the Y. The foundation is funded by the generosity of the club’s members and owners via an annual contribution, according to a press release.

Boys and Girls Club gets large donation

The Martha’s Vineyard Boys and Girls Club accepted a $15,000 donation Tuesday from the Boathouse Foundation in a ceremony attended by dozens of Boys and Girls Club members. The Boathouse, a private club in Edgartown, funded the donation. Boys and Girls Club executive director Peter Lambos said the money would be used for scholarships to their summer camps.
