Our Fleet
The Club has a fleet of classic boats for members' use. The boats will tie up at the Club's docks and will be captained and crewed by licensed professionals. Members will have the opportunity to reserve club boats for private use with family and friends. Moments from the dock, members will enjoy the Edgartown harbor, sunset cocktail cruises, fishing trips as well as day trips to Nantucket and outer islands surrounding the Vineyard. Our summer 2008 fleet will consist of the following watercrafts:
16' Boston Whalers.
These three classic, fully restored boats are specifically equipped for members to use for light recreation, picnics, inshore fishing and boating safety courses. The Boston Whalers are perfect “starter” boats for younger members to learn boat handling and the local waters.
28' Chris-Craft Runabout.
Since 1874 Chris-Craft boats have been synonymous with style, beauty and glamour. This twin engined boat has plush seating and is very fast, with a top speed of 55 mph. With beautiful teak decking, it is comfortably appointed with a builtin refrigerator, head, stereo sound system and swim platform. It will be the ideal boat for cruising Edgartown harbor, recreational beach and picnic outings as well as day trips to Nantucket or the Elizabeth Islands.
30' Hacker Craft Sport Boat.
This timeless, classic, handmade mahogany speedboat is perfect for family and friends to enjoy elegant sports cruising in a truly unique boat. The Mediterranean design features a large cockpit with comfortable seating for 6 people, an inboard engine and a sloped transom with built-in mahogany steps to the swim platform. Whether sitting at the dock or cruising on the water this boat is guaranteed to attract attention and will provide members a memorable boating experience.
34' Venture Fishing Boat.
This center console, twin engine outboard is designed for off-shore Tuna fishing as well as closer to home for Stripers, Bluefish and False Albacore. Fast, dry and stable, you can venture out in choppy seas and quickly get to the fish. This versatile boat has a head and a shower and can also be used for water sports, recreational cruising and beach trips.
40' Hinckley Talaria Powerboat.
Handbuilt in Southwest Harbor, Maine, this elegant boat is very spacious and ideal for entertaining on the water. Above or below deck it offers unrivalled luxury and comes complete with a full kitchen, head, shower and a covered dining area. Members will have the opportunity to enjoy this boat and meet other members on sunset cocktail cruises throughout the summer as well as reserve it for private charters around the Vineyard and surrounding islands.
