Recent Fishing Trip Photos

We hope everyone is as excited as we are for the upcoming fishing season at The Boathouse. 2011 was a spectacular season of fishing at the Club. June provided us with the best Bass fishing all year. The fish are on their migration north, passing through the Cape and the Islands before settling in local waters. We saw unbelievable numbers of big Bass early in the month so please do not hesitate to book fishing trips if you are on-island in June.

The offshore fishing was incredible all season and provided some of the best fishing I have seen in over 20 years fishing south of Martha's Vineyard. We fished offshore 16 times last year and caught Bluefin tuna as close as 5 miles off Wasque beach. Boathouse members caught White Marlin, big Yellowfin tuna, Blue Marlin, Wahoo and Mahi Mahi.

We fished a few tournaments last year and did great. We placed 1st in the Falmouth Grand Prix taking most Billfish releases, biggest tuna and most overall points. As a prize, we have been invited to fish the Rolex IGFA World Championships in Carbo San Lucas, Mexico. This May, we will be traveling with member Mr. Shawn Brennan to fish this World class competition against teams from over 30 different countries! The 2012 Tournament schedule is posted so please contact us if you are interested in competing in any of these events this season.  

Whether its big game fish, local Bass or Bluefin, we hope to see many Boathouse members and their family and friends on the water this upcoming season.
