Boathouse Foundation
The Boathouse Foundation is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization funded by the generosity of our members and owners. The Foundation gives annual contributions to non profit organizations on Martha’s Vineyard. In 2009 and 2010 the Foundation made a $25,000 donation to the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard, a $15,000 donation to the Martha’s Vineyard Boys and Girls Club and pledged $10,000 to the High School’s scholarship fund.

Boathouse Foundation donates $25,000 to YMCA
The Boathouse Foundation, a philanthropic unit of The Boathouse Club of Edgartown, presented a check for $25,000 to the YMCA of Martha's Vineyard on January 13th. Club general manager Scott Anderson and club manager Sydney Mullen presented the check on behalf of the Club's members, employees, and owners to YMCA executive director Jill Robie.
"We are delighted to be able to support the YMCA of Martha's Vineyard and have committed to making an annual $25,000 donation to the organization," Mr. Anderson said.
It was the second consecutive year the Boathouse Foundation donated to the Y. The foundation is funded by the generosity of the club's members and owners via an annual contribution, according to a press release.

Boys and Girls Club gets large donation
The Martha’s Vineyard Boys and Girls Club accepted a $15,000 donation Tuesday from the Boathouse Foundation in a ceremony attended by dozens of Boys and Girls Club members. The Boathouse, a private club in Edgartown, funded the donation. Boys and Girls Club executive director Peter Lambos said the money would be used for scholarships to their summer camps.
